Enjoyable 1-on-1 lessons – learn all you need to know and nothing you don’t!

I keep a healthy balance of improving techniques and applying relevant theory through the songs, bands and musical styles that inspire the pupil. Lessons are varied and enjoyable, with a sense of achievement and progress. Check out some of the great facilities that can aid learning below. All ages and abilities welcome. Rock School grades are also an option if required.  Most of my pupils are guitar players, though I do also teach bass guitar from beginner to intermediate level. I have been teaching guitar since 2002, have a wealth of real-world musical experience and am a published songwriter (see Jim for more about me). Needless to say I am fully DBS/CRB checked.

Amazing Discounted Lesson Rates

1-on-1 rates are £17 for 30 mins, £25 for 45 mins or £32 for 60 mins. This is incredible value compared with local (and national!) competitors partly due to the fact I do all my own admin/website/marketing and have low studio costs, meaning I am able to pass on the saving and have the best possible rates. The Musicians Union currently recommends charging £35/hr, so you can see the savings!
